At first, I thought that third crew member was making the most annoying pre-flight checklist ever, but then I noticed he was making the same announcement over and over again.

After hearing passengers squeal after that steep takeoff, I realized it was as demonstration, that he was probably rehearsing an announcement a few times.

The “ditty.” They ham up all of their stuff into some kind of song thing that reinforces the steps and sets it apart as special for the demonstration. And yes, it’s annoying as all get-out.

I thought the screaming from the jumpseaters was very tedious, as was the crew chief’s ditty. I think having a woman flying that aircraft is crazy-awesome, and I don’t give a fig if that makes me an identity politics Liberal.
